Japan and China sign agreement on rice

News flash!
Japan and China have just signed an agreement lifting Beijing's four-year ban on Japanese rice, paving the way for Tokyo to resume rice exports to China within the next few months (TOKYO, Japan (AP)).
Our Shanghai correspondent, Laurence Cheng, will once more be able to taste the sweetness of the Japanese short o-kome grain.
These are interesting times indeed!

sweet sweet short o-kome rice ! because of the shortness of each grain, i can now have four bowls of rice instead of my usual two !

Rice monster, does that mean that i have to revise my wedding promise to you and now make sure that the rice in our rice cooker never falls below 4 bowls instead of just the previously promised 2?
